Sen. John McCain has wanted to hold town halls with Sen. Barack Obama. It doesn’t look like that’s happening, but he will be joined by George Stephanopoulos for one.
ABC’s This Week will hold a live town hall meeting with McCain on September 28, taking place in Columbus, OH.
Invitations for the presidential candidates have been outstanding since May 4, after This Week held a town hall meeting with Sen. Hillary Clinton. ABC’s press release says, “The Obama campaign is still considering the request.”
