‘This Week’ Snags Julian Assange Interview

By Alex Weprin

In what it is billing as an ABC News exclusive, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange will appear on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday. Assange will appear live via satellite from the Embassy of Ecuador in London, where he has been holed up since Sweden asked the UK to extradite him over a rape allegation.

Assange, a vocal critic of the mainstream media, launched his own talk show last year online and on RT, where he interviewed people like Hezbollah leaders, and the President of Ecuador.

He has appeared on occasion on American TV. He was on CNN’s “AC360” and “CBS This Morning” earlier this month, and on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” in February.
