“The Wanted” Sees Results Even Before Premiere

By Chris Ariens

The series premiere of the NBC News program “The Wanted” needed some late editing this afternoon. It turns out there is movement on a case profiled in tonight’s show. During an interview on MSNBC’s Hardball, co-EP Charlie Ebersol told Chris Matthews the man at the focus of the episode may be extradited back to Iraq.

“We just found out in the last hour and a half, the minister of foreign affairs has announced that after 18 years of being in Norway and evading justice, the Norwegians are now working directly with the Iraqis. And they’ve vowed to deport [Mullah Krekar] back to Iraq, where he can face justice for crimes including killing hundreds, if not thousands of Americans and Europeans and targeting American civilians.”

“The Wanted” brings together an elite team with backgrounds in intelligence, unconventional warfare and investigative journalism to bring war criminals to justice. The show premieres at 10pmET/PT on NBC.
