By A.J. Katz

You’ve probably read this sentence on TVNewser before: Fox News was the most-watched basic cable network of the month.

That was true once again this past month, with the network averaging nearly 2.4 million viewers in prime time and 1.4 million in total day in April. FNC has been the No. 1 cable network across the 24-hour day (6 a.m. – 6 a.m.) for 22 consecutive months now.

All three of the cable news networks ranked in the top 10 among total viewers, both in total day and in prime time. Per Nielsen data, FNC was slightly down year-over-year, while MSNBC and CNN were up in prime time. CNN was down in total day.
