The Top Cable Networks of April 2017

By Chris Ariens

In the face of growing lawsuits and big name departures Fox News Channel held onto its status as the most-watched cable network in April.

This is the 10th straight month FNC has been No. 1, a streak it has never seen in its 20 years on the air. And, in the midst of a programming shakeup, FNC has also been the most-watched basic cable network in prime time for 3 straight months.

MSNBC was No. 3 in prime time and No. 4 in total day; CNN was No. 11 in prime time and No. 7 in total day.
