- CNN parent company Time Warner has named Howard Averill CFO, replacing John Martin, who is leaving his post to become CEO of Turner Broadcasting. Averill had been CFO of Time Inc.
- CNN is adding Ana Cabrera as a correspondent, based on Denver, Colorado. Cabrera joins CNN from ABC affiliate KMGH Denver, where she was an anchor.
- CNN anchor Don Lemon will host the 2013 ADCOLOR Awards Sept 19-21, which honor “professionals of color, diversity champions and companies who work together to further diversity and inclusion efforts in the advertising, marketing, media and public relations industries.”
