- FishbowlNY reports WNBC’s annual holiday sing-along at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will not happen this year. Tuesday’s Nor’easter scrubbed the shoot, and the make-up day, Wednesday, turned out not to be available. WNBC plans to re-run last year’s event.
- For the second consecutive year, CNN was named Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year at last night’s Asian Television Awards in Singapore. The network also won four other awards including for Best Current Affairs presenter which went to Kristie Lu Stout.

- Les Moonves has had his CBS contract extended through June 2019, without a raise, but with performance-based bonuses. Moonves joined CBS in 1995 as President of Entertainment. He was named CEO of CBS Corp. in 2006, following the split of Viacom.
