The Ticker: Maddow Low, Worldfocus, Today@700…

By Chris Ariens

> A few days after CNN’s AC360 hit its low-point of the year, MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow show put up her lowest numbers yet.

> Tonight on PBS’ Worldfocus, anchor Martin Savidge will interview Joel Simon, executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists on the news that two U.S. journalists detained in North Korea will be tried in June.

> The Today show has just won its 700th week in a row. The win, dating to Dec. 11, 1995, makes this the longest current winning streak in all of broadcast television, by any show, in any daypart. We’ll have the numbers in a later post.
