• The “What Will CNN Do Once Jeff Zucker Starts?” rumor mill continues, this time with a contribution from the New York Daily News‘ Don Kaplan. Kaplan reports that Zucker has been “sending out feelers” to talent agents, asking about potential comics in the vein of Jon Stewart for a late night news/comedy program.

• Discovery Communications is making a $2 billion deal in Europe, acquiring SBS Nordic and taking a 20% stake in TH1’s sports cable channel Eurosport. In two years, Discovery has an option to acquire a majority stake in Eurosport, which is one of the biggest sports networks in the world.

• Fox Business senior Washington correspondent Peter Barnes is profiled Northern Virginia Magazine. The magazine covers his career, as well as his side job as an author.
