The Ticker: iReport Awards, Newsom-Armstrong, Chris Wallace’s Chicken

  • CNN is bringing back its “iReport Awards” for 2012, and turning it into a weekend-long event. The seven winners–six selected by a judging panel and one community choice winner–will be flown to CNN’s Atlanta headquarters, where they will be treated to a weekend of behind-the-scenes access, meet and greets and panel discussions. The awards will be handed out June 24.
  • On the debut episode of his new Current TV series on Friday evening, Gavin Newsom interviews cyclist Lance Armstrong about doping. “I’m worn out,” Armstrong tells Newsom, adding that the tests have taken “a toll on his self, family, community, friends, business and foundation.”
  • Chris Wallace: accomplished chef? The “Fox News Sunday” moderator was on “Fox & Friends” this morning with his wife Lorraine to promote their new cookbook(!!) Mr. Sunday’s Saturday Night Chicken. They revealed a few of their favorite recipes:
