> B&C’s Claire Atkinson reads into Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes’ comments yesterday at a media conference. Speaking about other news networks, Bewkes said, “We’re here to help.” Atkinson writes, “He wasn’t necessarily floating a merger, but something much more simple. He wants them to take a look at CNN Wire, a new service that is hiring aggressively and opening bureaus around the world.”

> The Reliable Source reports Fox News Correspondent Jennifer Griffin gave birth to 8-pound, 10-ounce son Luke Griffin Myre Monday night. Griffin, who covers the Pentagon, learned she was pregnant while traveling to Afghanistan and Iraq. She and husband Greg Myre, senior editor of NPR’s “Morning Edition,” also have two daughters.
