The Ticker: Brokaw, ‘GMA’, Kasell

  • NBC News Special Correspondent Tom Brokaw will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement award at the Jefferson Awards tomorrow. The awards honor the greatest contributions in public service.

  • Monday’s “Good Morning America” drew 7.127 million total viewers and 2.875 million A25-54 demo viewers. This was “GMA’s” best post-Oscars Monday show since the show started airing on Sunday night in 1999.

  • Veteran NPR newscaster and current host of the comedy quiz show “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” Carl Kasell is retiring from the network this spring.  Kasell served as newscaster for “Morning Edition” on NPR for 30 years.
