The Scoop On MSNBC.com’s Scoop!

By Alissa Krinsky

Msnbc.com has named Courtney Hazlett as the new writer for Scoop!, the celebrity/pop culture column previously helmed by Jeannette Walls. The site has been looking for a replacement for Walls since her July departure.

Hazlett is a contributor to NBC’s Today and MSNBC’s Morning Joe, and most recently was a senior reporter at OK! Magazine. She has also worked at The Smoking Gun and at People magazine.

“Msnbc.com is one of those rare sites where the journalistic standard for reporting popular culture is no different than the standard for hard news,” Hazlett said in a press release. “The bar is set really high, and I’m honored to be a part of the team.”
