‘The President’s Words Matter, Josh’: Hasselbeck, Earnest Clash on Fox News

Fox & Friends co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck pressed White House press secretary Josh Earnest over comments President Obama made in the aftermath of the terror attacks on Paris, specifically, describing the attacks as “a setback,” which Hasselbeck said “seems awful.”

In a heated back-and-forth Wednesday morning, Earnest suggested Hasselbeck “spend just as much time focusing on the president’s actions as you do his words.”

But Hasselbeck pushed back, interrupting Earnest to say “his words matter, Josh…the President of the United States’ words matter.”

“Elisabeth, if you want to have me on the show to talk about something serious as national security, ask me a question and I’ll answer it,” before giving an extended answer on the Administration’s response to the Paris attacks:
