The P.M. Ticker: Rosabal, Pulitzer, Couric…

By Chris Ariens

  • Sylvia Rosabal joins Telemundo Network news as SVP reporting to Alina Falcon. Rosabal joins Telemundo from Univision, where she’s been since 1991. She’ll oversee all network news content and be responsible for editorial direction, programming, and production of on-air and online news.
  • The Columbia Graduate School of Journalism will rename the Journalism building “Pulitzer Hall,” after its founder, turn-of-the-20th Century newspaperman Joseph Pulitzer. The unveiling of the new façade will take place April 20 – the start of the school’s centennial year. Journalism’s most prestigious award, the Pulitzer, is also named in his honor.
  • Katie Couric says health and wellness will be the plate when “Katie” debuts this fall, telling Prevention magazine: “One of the things I’m most excited about is being able to help people navigate or understand medical information or certain illnesses better.  I’ve gone through a lot of medical situations, through Jay and my sister, and my dad had Parkinson’s. So I’m sort of the family advocate.”
