The New, Improved CNBC.com Video Player

By David Cohen

CNBC.com spruced up its video player Wednesday, adding several new features including transcripts, enhanced sharing and embedding, related content, comments, and the ability to search stock symbols.

Most U.S. videos will include a searchable, real-time transcript, and users can click on a part of the transcript to start the video from there. There is also an auto-scroll feature, which enables users to sync the transcript with the video.

Entire clips or selected portions can now be shared via email or social networks, as well as embedded. The new video player will also provide a list of related content and videos, and user comments have been enabled. Users can also browse the CNBC.com video library via stock symbol.
