  • Colorado legislators will have a hearing this week on proposed legislation, inspired by Fox News reporter Jana Winter, that would strengthen the state’s shield law for journalists.

  • Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel talked to CNBC’s Becky Quick in his first interview since the company’s data breach was announced. “We are not going to sleep until we get it right and we regain the trust of our guest,” he said on CNBC. “And we’re gonna be better as a result of this.”

  • Van Scott is joining ABC News as the publicity director for “World News with Diane Sawyer.” Scott previously worked at CNN, where he was the communications manager responsible for “New Day” and “Early Start.”
