- NBC’s “Today” has secured the “first live TV interview” since the MTV Video Music Awards with pop star Miley Cyrus. Cyrus is hosting NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and will also perform on the morning show Monday, before being interviewed by Matt Lauer.
- Fox Business Network’s Liz Claman has secured the first TV interview with Treasury Secretary Jack Lew since the government shutdown. The Lew interview will air at 4 PM ET.
- CNN’s Dana Bash will interview Senate Majority leader Harry Reid during the 3 PM hour today. Reid will discuss the government shutdown, and comments he made to Bash during a press conference yesterday.
