In a “60 Minutes Overtime” piece last night, Scott Pelley reveals the interview he’ll never forget.
“Of all the interviews that I have done at ’60 Minutes’ over all of these years, that was one that I will never forget,” Pelley said about his 2010 interview with Mike Williams, who was an oil rig worker who survived the Deepwater Horizon explosion. “My goodness…he was about the best storyteller I’d ever met.”
Pelley went on to note how his interview with Williams led to congressional action in the aftermath of the BP oil spill.
