  • Longtime New York Times media reporter Bill Carter is among the Times staffers taking a voluntary buyout. “I went through a long process, but I couldn’t square passing up what amounts to the best kind of severance at a newspaper job,” Carter tells HuffPost.

  • “CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood” had its second-largest November sweep audience since the 1987 advent of people meters. The show averaged 5.95 million viewers. For the 2014-15 season, “Sunday Morning” is up +2% over last season-to-date.

  • NBC’s Tom Brokaw interviews actor/director Angelina Jolie for a behind-the-scenes look at “Unbroken.” The Universal film, based on the story of Olympian turned war hero Louis Zamperini, is out Christmas Day. Brokaw’s NBC special airs next Tuesday at 10pET/9pCT.
