The Afternoon Ticker: Cooper, Carlson, Doocy

  • Anderson Cooper and Piers Morgan got into a bidding war over a Jeff Koons work of art Saturday night. Cooper’s winning bid of $1.4 million topped Morgan’s $1.3 million. In all $6 million was raised at the star-studded Hope for Haiti fundraiser in Beverly Hills.

  • Gretchen Carlson will be the emcee of the annual “Time for Lyme” in Greenwich, CT in April. Carlson, host of “Real Story” on Fox News, battled Lyme Disease, a bacterial infection transmitted by black-legged ticks, for several weeks last year.

  • “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy will be honored next week as Kansan of the year. Born in Iowa, but raised in Abeline and other parts of Kansas, Doocy got his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
