Ted David Off ‘Morning Call;’ Veteran Anchor Moving To CNBC Business Radio

By Brian

“I am pleased to announce that CNBC veteran and ‘Morning Call’ co-anchor Ted David is being named Senior Anchor, CNBC Business Radio. Ted’s new position is effective February 6th,” a CNBC memo said today.

“Ted will be heard frequently throughout the day on dozens of CNBC Business Radio affiliates across the country, reporting, writing and broadcasting his own material. For Ted, this move marks a return to his radio roots. Ted was an ABC Radio News correspondent for eight years and worked as a reporter/anchor at a number of New York radio stations, including WPIX-FM (now WQCD) as far back as 1970.

We’re confident that Ted’s addition to CNBC Business Radio will raise its profile across the country and we are delighted to note he will continue to be seen as an anchor on CNBC television on a fill-in basis. His final date as co-anchor of ‘Morning Call’ will be Feb. 3rd. Please join me in congratulating Ted on his new role at CNBC.”
