Super Tuesday III Is Most-Watched Primary Night Yet

Super Tuesday was just that for the cable networks.

Last night’s Super Tuesday III coverage on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC exceeded the previous most-watched primary night, Super Tuesday I on March 1, making this the most-watched primary night yet of the 2016 cycle.

In the A25-54 demo, however, all three networks saw a slight drop from the March 1 primary coverage. There’s also a familiar pattern emerging: Fox News Channel was again the most-watched network among viewers, while CNN was No. 1 in the A25-54 demo last night:

The 2016 cycle has now provided the three most-watched primary nights for cable news since records have been kept. Last night, the cablers averaged 11.4 million viewers in prime time, followed by Super Tuesday I which averaged 10.9 million, followed by Iowa Caucus coverage which averaged 10.1 million.
