By Alex Weprin

CNN “Starting Point” anchor Soledad O’Brien is the subject of this week’s “Sunday Routine” column in the New York Times. O’Brien, who has to get up around 2:15 during the week, sleeps in til 6 AM on Sunday, where she and her family live in Dutchess County, New York.

She takes advantage of the space:

RESCUED MOUNT I just adopted an old racehorse from a great place called Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue. She is 4, and her name is Sedona. They have about 150 racehorses that they’ve rescued from the track. So usually I go riding at some point in the morning or afternoon, depending on what kind of day it is.
