Sunday Snow Day at the Nets

By Chris Ariens

We took a stroll earlier today to check out the snow around Manhattan. While the total here — 10 inches — was nowhere near the 16 inches in D.C. or the 23 inches in Philadelphia, it kept national and local news crews working overtime. These photos were taken between 11:30am – 1pm.

First stop, ABC’s headquarters at Columbus Ave. and 66th St.

…then about 7 blocks down Broadway to the Time Warner Center, home of CNN.

…another two blocks south and 3 blocks west to the CBS Broadcast Center on West. 57th St.

…over to Rockefeller Center home of NBC and MSNBC. This photo is taken on the Plaza, outside the Today show studio with the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in the background.

…and across Sixth Ave. to News Corp. HQ home of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

• Bonus CNN and CBS photos after the jump…

A snowman in front of Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. The official snow reading for New York City was 10″ in Central Park.

On the other end of 59th St. from Columbus Circle is the GM building which, in addition to being home to an Apple Store and the FAO Schwarz flagship, is the home of CBS’ The Early Show.
