CBS’ Face the Nation with John Dickerson was the top-rated Sunday public affairs program in total viewers on September 6. However, ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos won the key key A25-54 demo despite finishing third in total viewers.
This Week is up +22 percent in viewers and up +30 percent in the demo compared to the same week last year, while FTN was up +7 percent in viewers. NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd finished second in both categories on Todd’s one-year anniversary as moderator. MTP delivered an additional 1.06 million total viewers and 326,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace combined with cable replays for 3.45 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 2.11 million total viewers and 294,000 in the demo.
Face the Nation is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 76.3% of the country.
