CBS’ “Face the Nation” was the most-watched Sunday public affairs show in both total viewers and A25-54 viewers on September 15. ABC’s “This Week,” which had an exclusive interview with President Obama, was second in total viewers and NBC’s “Meet the Press” was second in the demo.
Compared to the same week last year, ABC and Univision were both up in total viewers and down in the demo: “This Week” was up +1% and down -17% and “Al Punto” was up +3% and down -37%, respectively. CBS (-12% in total viewers / -4% in the demo), NBC (-9% / -10%) and Fox (-23% / -26%) were down across the board.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday,” guest hosted last week by John Roberts, averaged a combined 1,447,000 total viewers and 257,000 A25-54 viewers. Cable rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 1,034,000 total viewers and 467,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
