A split decision in the Sunday morning race. NBC’s “Meet the Press” wins in Total Viewers while CBS’ “Face the Nation” finished #1 in A25-54 viewers, with its best showing since March 13 and up +7% year-over-year.
The Bob Schieffer-hosted show included a contentious interview with 2012 GOP candidate Herman Cain — before news of sexual harassment accusations against him was made public. All four programs were up in total viewers compared to the same week last year, with #3 “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” up the most +9%. Only “Face the Nation” was also up in A25-54 viewers.
This Sunday, “Meet” will be on at 8am in the nation’s largest market as WNBC covers the New York City marathon during the normal 10:30am timeslot.
