CBS’ “Face the Nation” was the top Sunday morning public affairs show in total viewers October 17. NBC’s “Meet the Press” won the week in the key 25-54 demo, with CBS finishing third in that category. ABC’s “This Week” placed third in total viewers and second in the demo, with “Fox News Sunday” fourth.
“Meet the Press” and “This Week” both featured U.S. Senate debates, with the ABC program hosting Christine O’Donnell and Chris Coons from Delaware, and NBC hosting Ken Buck and Michael Bennett from Colorado.
CBS counter-programmed with some Sunday show regulars: former DNC chief Howard Dean, Sen. Lindsey Graham and Liz Cheney.
