CBS’ Face the Nation with John Dickerson was the No. 1 public affairs show in total viewers, while NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd ranked No. 1 in the key news demo on November 27.
FTN grew +16 percent in total viewers and +43 percent in the news demo from the same Sunday in 2015. The broadcast featured an interview with Sen. Marco Rubio. Conversations on Gratitude featured Jahana Hayes, the 2016 teacher of the year; retired Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully; John Shinholser and Honesty Liller of the McShin Foundation for addiction and recovery; and Brandon Stanton from Humans of New York.
MTP was down in total viewers from this Sunday last year (-6 percent) but grew +11 percent in the demo. That Nov. 29, 2015 episode featured a call-in from Donald Trump. MTP continues to dominate in the influential D.C. market, outperforming the combined deliveries of CBS and FOX in total viewers and topping the competition in the demo by double-digits percent.
ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos performed well this past week, improving from the same Sunday last year in total viewers (+16 percent) and in A25-54 (+12 percent). Season to date, This Week is up in both total viewers (+8 percent) and Adults 25-54 (+4 percent) versus the same point last season. The program is drawing its largest over audience in 15 years.
Fox News Sunday had a down week relative to this Sunday last year, -4 percent in total viewers and -1 percent in the news demo. The trio of cable replays (2 p.m., 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET), delivered a combined 3.1 million total viewers and 647,000 from the demo. Altogether, FNS posted 4.6 million total viewers and 1.1 million A25-54 on 11/27.
Al Punto had another solid week, increasing its total viewer audience by +66 percent and its A25-54 audience by +85 percent from the same Sunday last year. Al Punto beat FNS among millennial viewers for the third consecutive week.
