CBS’s “Face the Nation” was first among Sunday shows in total viewers last week, but fell behind ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” in the A25-54 demo. “Face the Nation” was down -28% in the demo compared to the same week last year, while “This Week” was up +17 percent.
“This Week” had its best week of the season, with +9% in total viewers and edging “Face the Nation” by 35K in the demo.
NBC’s “Meet the Press” came in third in both viewers and the demo, down -13% in total viewers. “MTP” delivered an additional 1.4 million total viewers and 671,000 demo viewers with rebroadcasts on the network and MSNBC.
Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” on Fox News Channel averaged a combined 2.06 million total viewers and 388,000 A25-54 viewers. “Fox News Sunday” was up +18 percent in total viewers and +51% percent in the demo.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 55% of the country.
