Maybe it was the nice weather on the east coast, but it was a low-rated Sunday for the public affairs shows this week. Compared to May 2nd, the combined audience for the four programs was down -1,620,000 total viewers on the broadcast networks.
NBC’s “Meet the Press” was the most-watched Sunday show, though it was David Gregory’s second-lowest rated broadcast in total viewers. CBS’ “Face the Nation” was #2, but also lost viewers week-to-week.
ABC’s “This Week,” which drew it’s lowest total viewer number in 4 years last week, saw a (modest) increase week-to-week in total viewers. The ABC program and “FOX News Sunday” were the only two to see a total viewer increase.
All four shows decreased in the demo compared to the Sunday previous.
Cable and network rebroadcasts of “MTP” drew an additional 1,134,000 viewers. “Fox News Sunday” drew an additional 1,821,000 total viewers on cable replays.
