“CBS Face the Nation” won in both ratings measurements on March 23, besting ABC’s “This Week” by +540,000 total viewers and +130,000 A25-54 viewers. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was third in both ratings measurements for the fourth time in five weeks.
Boosted by a busy news week that included the search for MH370 and continued tensions in Ukraine, three of the Sunday public affairs shows showed significant growth compared to the same week last year. “Face the Nation” (+28% in total viewers / +43% in the demo), “This Week” (+40% / +44%) and “Fox News Sunday” (+32% / +30%) were all up double digits. “Meet the Press” was flat across the board and Univision’s “Al Punto” was down in both ratings measurements.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,131,000 total viewers and 523,000 A25-54 viewers. It was the highest-rated broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” since November 2012 in total viewers and since February 2013 in the demo.
Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered 1,041,000 total viewers and 469,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
