NBC’s “Meet the Press” gets a win this week, posting its best ratings since 2012 in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic. It’s the first win this year for “MTP,” which continues to trade off with CBS’ “Face the Nation” and ABC’s “This Week” in a tight three-way race.
Compared to the same week last year, NBC, ABC and CBS are up in both ratings measurements, with NBC up the most: +23% in total viewers and +47% in the demo. “Fox News Sunday” was up in total viewers but down in the demo, and Univision’s “Al Punto” was down across the board.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,005,000 total viewers and 329,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 634,000 total viewers and 233,000 A25-54 viewers (some rebroadcasts were preempted because of NBC’s coverage of the Olympics).
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
