Sunday Show Ratings: February 6

By Alex Weprin

The Sunday public affairs shows had a busy day February 6. With the Super Bowl slated for that evening, the situation in Egypt still fluid and what would have been Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday, the three programs had a lot to cover.

The biggest beneficiary was ABC’s “This Week,” which originated from Egypt. While it was down slightly in total viewers compared to the previous week, it saw a boost in the key A25-54 demo, placing it second behind NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Fox News Sunday” was also up in the demo, and originated from Dallas, Texas, where the Fox broadcast network was televising the Super Bowl. In fact, “FNS” demo rating was that program’s highest in nearly two years.

Both CBS “Face the Nation” and Meet the press” were down from the prior week in both categories.
