Boosted by NBC’s coverage of the Sochi Olympics, “Meet the Press” won for the second week straight on February 16. CBS’ “Face the Nation” was second and ABC’s “This Week” was third in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic.
NBC and ABC were both up compared to the same week last year, with NBC showing the most growth: +16% in total viewers and +28% in the demo. CBS was down -8% in total viewers and up +2% in the demo, while “Fox News Sunday” was down -11% in total viewers and flat in the demo. Univision’s “Al Punto” was down across the board.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,872,000 total viewers and 351,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 743,000 total viewers and 310,000 A25-54 viewers (some rebroadcasts were preempted because of NBC’s coverage of the Olympics).
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
