David Gregory’s exclusive interview with President Obama propelled “Meet the Press” to the top on December 30. With 4.2 million viewers, the show had its best Total Viewer delivery in more than three years (since March 22, 2009).
CBS’ “Face the Nation” was second, followed by ABC’s “This Week” in third. “Fox News Sunday” and Univision’s “Al Punto” traded off for fourth and fifth.
Compared to the same week last year, CBS, ABC, NBC, and Univision are up across the board. “Meet the Press” is up the most: +35% in Total Viewers and +33% in the A25-54 demographic. “Fox News Sunday” is up in Total Viewers but down in the A25-54 demographic.
Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 952,000 Total Viewers and 125,000 A25-54 viewers. Replays of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 2,887,000 Total Viewers and 1,039,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 45% of the country.
