Sunday Show Ratings: August 11

By Alex Weprin

NBC’s “Meet the Press” had a rough Sunday, delivering its lowest adults 25-54 demo numbers in at least 21 years, since before the 1991-1992 season, when Nielsen launched its electronic database.

CBS’ “Face the Nation” remained blacked out for a few million Time Warner Cable customers in New York City, Los Angeles and Dallas, and while its ratings were not affected dramatically, they were down slightly from before the blackout. ABC’s “This Week” took home the top spot in total viewers, while “Face the Nation” remained on top in the adults 25-54 demo.

“Meet the Press” was third in both categories, with “Fox News Sunday” fourth in total viewers and fifth in the demo, and “Al Punto” fourth in the demo and fifth in total viewers.

“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 66% of the country.
