Sunday Show Ratings: April 27

By Merrill Knox

One year ago, ABC’s “This Week” was third — behind CBS’ “Face the Nation” and NBC’s “Meet the Press” — in both ratings measurements. This week, ABC takes home the top spot for the second week straight, with CBS falling to second and NBC falling to third.

“This Week” is the only Sunday public affairs show to grow year-over-year, up +26% in total viewers and +36% in the A25-54 demographic. “Fox News Sunday” is flat in total viewers and down -17% in the demo, while “Face the Nation” (-17% / -12%), “Meet the Press” (-12% / -16%) and Univision’s “Al Punto” (-14% / -12%) are down across the board.

Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,876,000 total viewers and 357,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 513,000 total viewers and 144,000 demo viewers.
