CBS’ “Face the Nation” retook the top spot among the Sunday public affairs shows on April 22. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was close behind in Total Viewers and the A25-54 demographic, while ABC’s “This Week” was third, followed by “Fox News Sunday” and Univision’s “Al Punto.”
Compared to the same week last year, “Face the Nation” and “This Week” were up in both Total Viewers and the demographic. “Meet the Press” was up in Total Viewers but down in the demo, while “Fox News Sunday” was down in both measurements.
Cable rebroadcasts added an additional 558,000 Total Viewers and 197,000 A25-54 viewers to “Meet the Press” and an additional 2,469,000 Total Viewers and 501,000 A25-54 viewers to “Fox News Sunday.”
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour airs in just 64% of the country.
