On the heels of the news that George Stephanopoulos has signed a long-term deal to remain at ABC News, “This Week” takes home a win in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic for the week of April 20.
CBS’ “Face the Nation” came in second and NBC’s “Meet the Press” came in third. Both shows, along with “Fox News Sunday,” were coded as specials due to the Easter holiday. Compared to the same week last year, which was the week of the Boston Marathon bombings, all five shows are down across the board.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,618,000 total viewers and 388,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 1,083,000 total viewers and 294,000 demo viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
