CBS’ “Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer” was the top rated Sunday public affairs program in both total viewers and the key A25-54 demo on April 19. Interviews with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), and former Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) helped carry “FTN” to another ratings victory.
ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” was second in total viewers, while NBC’s “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” finished third total viewers and second in the demo.
“Face the Nation” was up +23% in total viewers and +25% in the demo, compared to the same week last year. “This Week” was up, +2% in viewers and +4% in the demo. “Meet the Press” finished up +20% in viewers and up +24% the demo.
“Fox News Sunday” was up +10% in viewers but down -5% in the demo, while combining with cable replays for 3.4 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 2.13 million total viewers and 436K in the demo.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 76.3% of the country.
