Study: In GOP Debates, CNN Moderators Spoke The Least, Fox News Moderators Spoke the Most

A study of the last 17 GOP primary debates by University of Minnesota researchers shows that different network moderators had very different styles when it came to how much they should speak. According to the study, CNN moderators spent the least amount of time speaking, taking up only 15.2% of the time allotted for the debate.

On the other end of the spectrum, moderators for the Fox News Channel debates spoke for 26.2% of the time allotted during the debate. In between the two, in order from least ti,e spoken to most time spoken was ABC, NBC and “Other,” which included Bloomberg, CNBC and CBS.
