Steve & Olaf: “We Have A Lot Of People We Should Thank,” Ailes Says

Roger Ailes appeared on Fox & Friends this morning. Johnny Dollar has the video.

“We’ve all been very worried about Steve and Olaf,” he said. “We’ve been working on this sort of around the clock since they were taken. It began to intensify a few days ago. Three o’ clock this morning, John Moody, who was here, he’s our senior vice president for journalism, called me at home, he said we have a new tape that is somewhat problematic. On the other hand, we are still hearing we may be within hours. So I came in, we were very happy to hear that the transfer had taken place, they were released…”

He continued: “…I just talked to Condoleeza Rice a few minutes ago. The State Department’s been helpful, as has the Palestinian prime minister and the Israelis. This has been a sort of international effort. So we have a lot of people we should thank.”

“I know Steve quite well. He’s a very gentle spirit, but you know, he went through the embed training when we were with the military, and I said ‘Steve, you’re kind of old to do that, aren’t you?,’ and he said ‘Nah, I can do it,’ so he is quietly a good tough guy.”
