State of the Union Top of Mind for Morning Shows

The State of the Union address not only dominated coverage last night, but was also a hot topic of conversation on the morning shows. Each networks seemed to have their own take on what aspects of the speech and response(s) were most compelling.

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” focused on Michele Bachmann‘s Tea Party response, and the fact that she delivered it while looking into the wrong camera:

CNN also focused on the Tea Party response, maybe because they were the only ones to carry it live, as they kept reminding viewers over and over again throughout the night. They asked House majority whip Eric Cantor what he thought about it:

On ABC’s “Good Morning America,” George Stephanopoulos looked for feedback from Democratic and Republican politicos:

The CBS “Early Show” also spoke to Cantor, though the emphasis was on the President’s speech, as opposed to the Tea Party’s:
