If you turn on your TV tonight at 8pmET/7pmCT there’s a good chance you’ll find the “Stand Up 2 Cancer” telethon. Tonight’s event will air on ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC as well as E!, Bravo, HBO, Showtime, ESPNNews, Oxygen, American Forces Network, and 20 other networks. This year, there will be no answering phones, but rather an online and social media push for donations. It’s possible a celebrity taking part in the star-studded fundraiser could call you. The event was co-founded by Katie Couric and the late Laura Ziskin and has become a biannual event, first airing in 2008, returning in 2010 and 2012 and again tonight.
