Southern Illinois University got a tremendous amount of TV news exposure yesterday, as its campus is located near what was considered the “crossroads” of yesterday’s eclipse: Carbondale, Illinois. The SIU Salukis marching band (The Marching Salukis) performed the CBS Evening News theme song during the total eclipse festivities, which anchor Anthony Mason, executive producer Steve Capus and the rest of the team undoubtedly got a kick out of.

I’d say that’s a pretty solid rendition. Capus seemed to agree.
This is really wonderful!
