Soon-To-Be MSNBC Host Alec Baldwin Deletes Tweets Critical Of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough

BaldwinMSNBCActor Alec Baldwin, who will become a host on MSNBC later this month, has a long history with Twitter.

He has deactivated his account a few times after off-the-cuff comments he made there became national news (see the infamous American Arlines incident of 2011), and he has used it as a platform to critique the media, as he did with NBC’s “Today” last year.

The latest installment of Baldwin vs. Twitter involves tweets regarding his soon-to-be colleagues at “Morning Joe.” Baldwin was criticizing that morning’s guest, conservative writer Bill Kristol, but it turned into a critique of Joe Scarborough, who he said was “barking at his guests in that Hannity-esque Catholic school gym teacher style.”

Now, as Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher notes, Baldwin has deleted the offending tweets.

It isn’t clear whether MSNBC president Phil Griffin weighed in on the tweets, as Baldwin suggested he might in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
