Soccer Writer Names Twins After Diego Maradona

By Marcus Vanderberg

Argentinian sportswriter Walter Rotundo named his new twin girls Mara and Dona, after one of the greatest soccer players of all-time, Diego Maradona.

You would think Rotundo, who covered Argentinos Juniors for the blog Pasión Paternal, would know not to name his kids after the guy who nearly died from his addiction to cocaine.

I know how important 1986 is to the country of Argentina, but last I checked, it had been 25 years now.

My apologies to the kids for any drug or alcohol addictions they pick up as a result of their names.
