Silence on the Set of ‘Good Morning America’

By Chris Ariens

The “Good Morning America” crew is really getting into this Oscars thing. With the Awards show on ABC Sunday night, the GMA team took a page from Oscar-nominated “The Artist” this morning, producing its own silent movie. We think it’s George Stephanopoulos’ best performance since “War Room.” GMA staffer Hana Karar produced the piece and Gerry Mahoney edited it. The make-up artist is played by Robin Roberts’ real make up artist Elena George. And show director Jeff Winn makes a control room cameo. Watch:

The dog in the film, Winston, was in the Disney movie “Frenemies” and, naturally, is on Twitter: @WinstonDogActor. We’re told it also took about five takes before Josh Elliott successfully hit Lara Spencer in the head with the football.
